Autointerlace is a nifty little filter which can automatically create an
"interlaced" effect on an image. Interlacing is an effect similar to
what you see on a television screen - on a TV the image is created using
horizontal lines of colour, but these lines are usually too small to be
detected from a normal viewing distance. If you stare at a TV up close
you can usually just make out the lines.

This filter is probably most useful with "techno" style images, but can
also be used to give any image a semi "post-modern" feel. A variant of
this filter has been used extensively on the namesuppressed website:

In order to be able to use the filter, you will need an IBM compatible
computer and an Adobe Plug-In compatible paint program such as Adobe
Photoshop or Jasc Paint Shop Pro. This filter will not run on a
Macintosh system, although a separate Macintosh version will hopefully
be completed in the very near future.

To use this filter, simply copy the all the files from the zip archive and
place them in the Plug-ins folder of your paint program (eg Photoshop).
When you restart your paint program the filter should be listed in your
filters menu under the category "Kohan's Filters".
